So since my last blog post, I’ve actually managed to get another job, this time I am working in the same company again but in a different department. It was nice to have a job again but it’s also taking a lot of my personal time away…
As some of you might have noticed, I’ve been extremely inactive on both Twitch and Twitter ever since I got my new job, and it’s not hard to figure out that I am way busier than before with little to no time left for personal things after I get off work every day, including streaming and MC modding. I am still trying my best to get a balance between work and personal things, but it’s just really hard with my current job.
I’ve never mentioned this in public but for my real life job, I was a computer engineer until my company decided to cut budget on my old team back in April, but then in June, I was invited back to the company as a repair engineer in a different department, specifically repairing printers. The things I have to do are just way different than my old job, and it’s taking me a lot of time to try and get used to everything, including waking up way earlier than I want to and learning how to repair various different models of printers. For the past few months, I have been nothing but super focused on work, while leaving streaming and MC modding behind, but I think it’s about time I get back to those things as I am getting used to my job now.
At the time of writing this, it’s getting really close to my birthday (6th October), and I think that is a perfect day to finally return to streaming. I’ve already applied to take a day off for my birthday, so, expect a birthday stream coming on 6th October at around 8–10 pm HKT. As for what to play on stream, it’s most likely gonna be modded Minecraft, and maybe some League of Legends as well (Yes, I play League now, and I absolutely suck at it, but I am addicted anyway 😂)!
As for Minecraft modding, I do plan on releasing new updates for my mods, and potentially 1.17 port for some of my mods as well, but I need some time to look into that before I can work on anything. I was thinking about handing over some of my mods to my modder friends and let them maintain the mods instead, but I am still a but uncertain about that decision, so yeah…
Lastly, I’d like to talk about conventions, some of you might remember HKCCF, the tech convention that I used to go to on late August every year, but due to work and the pandemic, I decided to give up on that this year. I do plan on going next year though, and maybe take vlog with one of these as well… 👀
