Hey everyone, I can’t believe it has already been half a year since my last personal updates blog post, and I have quite a bit of stuff to talk about here, both good and bad.
Let’s talk about the good stuff first since that’s probably most of you would be interested in.
I am doing pretty well right now with my current job, and things have been going rather smooth for the most part. Just over half a year after I returned to my original job as a computer engineer, I had already received a pay rise, which was honestly pretty damn crazy, but I felt extremely thankful for.
Despite the fact that I am still really busy with my job, I am still able to spare some time for Minecraft modding again as things have started settling in, which has led to my return to Minecraft modding in late April!
However, as I wanted to reduce some of the stress and frustrated that caused me to quit modding last time, I’ve decided to discontinue some of my less popular mods, like Dimensional Edibles. I’ve already ported Exchangers, Simple Sponge and No Auto Jump to 1.16 and above, so feel free to play around with them in newer versions of Minecraft!
I am also looking for artists to redo all of the textures in Exchangers and Simple Sponge, so if anyone’s interested, feel free to DM me on Discord (in order to DM me, you have to join my server using the invite link above since I was getting way too many spam messages and I had to turn off DMs from non-server members)!
I might also consider working on some new mods for 1.19 and above exclusively, but I don’t know yet, a lot of things are still being planned out as I write this blog post, so stay tuned on my Twitter!
While I was busy with work and didn’t post much stuff on Twitter, I did however started using my Instagram more often, so if you’re not already following me on Instagram, you should definitely follow me there!
I post a lot of stuff from both at work and off-work in Stories and sometimes just regular posts, if you want to keep up with everything happening in my life, Instagram is the best place to check out! I will still post stuff on Twitter once in a while, but for most of the selfies and some other random pictures, I will be posting them exclusively for Instagram.
I also have a couple of events that I will be attending in August, that includes HKCCF 2023 since I haven’t been to one for like 4 years at this point, I am also gonna be going to watch a concert for a Cantopop singer here in Hong Kong, this will be the first that I watch a concert live! I’ve only watched concerts on DVDs and Blu-ray discs before, so this is gonna be a new experience for me, and I can’t wait to share some of the stuff from those events to you guys on Instagram and Twitter when the time comes!
That’s all for the good part, now for the bad part.
Some of you might have noticed already, I didn’t talk about updates on me streaming on Twitch, and that’s for good reasons.
With many ridiculous policy changes happening on Twitch, I am considering to either switch to a different streaming platform, or just quit streaming entirely. While I did enjoy the times when I was streaming before I got a job, now it seemed to have turned into a burden for me.
I am sure many of you understand that my real life job takes way higher priority over everything else since I am very heavily relying on the salary from my job to be able to take care of my family. I don’t really care the fact that I’ve lost countless amount of followers, whether due to the incidents happened a few years ago, or just simply because of the fact that I’ve been relatively inactive as a streamer. For those who are still sticking around by my side to this very day, you know who you are, I am sincerely thankful for you guys.
I haven’t decided what I wanna do about this streaming situation yet, but I am gonna give it some time and really consider what I should be doing. Again, stay tuned on my Twitter for more updates.
