I am back… kind of.

Hey everyone, it has been a while since I’ve been active on the internet and I’ll explain why and what happened in the past six months in this update blog post. This is going to be a pretty lengthy blog post as I have been absent for quite some time, but please do give it a read if you want to know my current situation so you don’t miss out.

Around half a year since what has happened to me, everything has changed drastically, including my life routine. I am still working on the same job as a computer engineer from just over a year ago (my 1 year work anniversary was on 13th August actually, time really has gone by quick). However, we’ve been getting lots and lots of new and challenging projects at work this year, and I’ve been really busy with work because of that. I am sorry for making everyone worried about me not coming back at all, I will be coming back to Twitch and Minecraft modding soon.

So, about coming back to Twitch, it’s not going to be the same as before, unfortunately. Back in February, after I got kicked off from the communities I was once a part of, I apologized to everyone and I promised I would not let the same thing happen again, and yet, I’ve gotten even more hate from people within the communities. It was really toxic and I just simply had enough with it. So, I’ve decided that quitting is a better option. I will probably never be going back to the communities I was once a part of. Making this decision was hard for me, but it was for the better. With that said, my “The Twitch Compilation” series will also be discontinued along with my YouTube channel being deactivated, forever. I know I’ve made a promise before that I would still continue making the series once I’ve gotten everything sorted, but since I got completely ignored by certain people in private messages when I tried to sort things out with them, I just thought I shouldn’t care anymore. After thousands of hours and thousands of dollars wasted in the communities, all the good things I’ve done for people, I got completely abandoned. I feel seriously heartbroken. When I get back to Twitch, it will just be me, by myself, as an individual content creator. I will no longer be a part of the communities I was in. Sorry everyone, this is just a better option for me, I don’t want to get heartbroken again. For those that are sticking with me, I really appreciate it, thank you.

As an individual creator on Twitch when I return, I will be starting to branch out more on the variety side, there will still be Minecraft streams, but I will also stream other games like the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield (I have something to say about that, more on that below), Satisfactory and maybe some other games that I feel like playing. I will also try and do more IRL streams to show you guys around different places in the future.

As for Minecraft modding, I’ve really been missing out on Forge updates lately, and I know that both 1.13 and 1.14 have Forge now, so I will be trying my best to port my mods to 1.13 and 1.14 as soon as I have some spare time from work, please do bear with me in the time being as the updates comes slowly. I am really trying my best to keep a balance between work and internet stuff.

As for IRL events, I did say I will go to Insomnia 65, but unfortunately, as so many things happened to me on Twitch and for budget reasons, I will not be attending Insomnia 65. Instead, I will most likely be going to HKCCF 2019 depending on how things goes (hopefully no protests to affect my trip). Some of you might remember, I did go to HKCCF 2018 last year and a lot of you actually enjoyed me livestreaming while I was there showing you guys lots of cool tech stuff. I am not sure if I will be able to do a livestream or upload any videos this year for HKCCF 2019, but I will most likely be showing you guys some pictures over on Instagram and on Twitter.

So, that pretty much wraps up all the things I want to talk about in terms of personal updates, but I have a little bit more to share with you guys since I was not able to talk about them on Twitter at the time. If you’re not interested in the following topics, then you may stop reading from here, if not, then go ahead and keep reading. So, here we go.

So about Pokémon Sword and Shield… As some of you might have noticed on Twitter before I stopped tweeting a while back, I’ve gotten really addicted to Pokémon than I was before due to the X & Y and Sun & Moon anime being on Netflix in Hong Kong (finally), I had to buy more Pokémon games and even a 3DS in order to feed my addiction. I really can’t wait when Pokémon Sword and Shield comes out, because I will be playing it a lot on stream, and it will probably be my main streaming game for a while. Back in June at E3 2019, Game Freak (the developer for the main series Pokémon games) has announced that starting from Pokémon Sword and Shield, all the main series Pokémon games will not be including a national Pokédex, which means, we’ll only be able to use Pokémon within the Pokédex in that game’s region (in Sword and Shield’s case would be the Galar region). After the announcement, a lot of veteran Pokémon fans were extremely upset and outraged about not having a national Pokédex in a main series Pokémon game. I want to share my thoughts on this, though. I don’t consider myself as a Pokémon veteran, but I’ve definitely played most of the Pokémon games. Personally, I think not having a national Pokédex won’t bother me too much, I will still get the game (I will be getting both versions and playing both on stream, in fact). I love Pokémon, and Sword and Shield are definitely great games to start off generation 8 with lots of new and cool features. I seriously look forward to play them on my Nintendo Switch and enjoy a Pokémon game in HD graphics for the first time.

One last thing I would like to talk about, if you’ve been keeping up on the news lately, you’ll know that we have a lot of protests going on in Hong Kong about the new Extradition Bill. Just to be clear, I did not and probably will not participate in any of the protests in order to keep myself clear from troubles, but I definitely hope that the Extradition Bill can get completely scraped. Otherwise, if the bill gets passed, everyone in Hong Kong, including tourists will be faced to risks of being tried in a Chinese court or being sent to a Chinese jail, and that is a really bad thing (China has pretty much no laws, you could get sued and executed for litearlly nothing in China). China’s concept of communism is slowly corrupting Hong Kong and is taking away our freedom, completely betraying the policies of “One country, two systems” stated in the Sino-British Joint Declaration. As a Hong Kong citizen myself, I appreciate everyone from around the world supporting Hong Kong in the process of taking our freedom back that we deserve. I really hope this will all come to an end in a good way and Hong Kong will hopefully be returning back to normal.

That is all I wanted to share with you guys in this blog post, if you’ve read all the way until the end to here, I really do appreciate you taking your time to read all of this, and understand my current situation and opinions on things I’ve talked about.

I really don’t know when I will be back on Twitch but I will keep you guys updated on Twitter, I will start tweeting more again to let you guys know what I’ve been up to. Until then, have a great day and I’ll see you guys next time.
